Alternatively, is there a possibility that the machine has been compromised by a third parter who wants file-system access to my machine? Whether I deliberately remove the OSX Fuse materials from /usr/local or I use the remove button in the preferences-pane, the files will come back everytime I restart the machine. I have since found OSX Fuse to persist and it's becoming rather aggravating. Seeing that was rather suspicious, so I decided to remove OSX Fuse from my machine. Previously, on another machine I had used OSX Fuse (when I used MacPorts), but this has never been the case on the current machine. In fact, I use Fuse4x through Homebrew, which is the reason I discovered that OSX Fuse was there (throws errors when running brew doctor). Despite its setbacks I still consider Swinsian a Mac-Assed Mac app due to a thoughtful feature set and adherence to Apple human interface guidelines. Please let me know if I should delete it. As of today Swinsian is an Intel app and requires Rosetta 2 to run on Apple Silicon Macs. However, I did not install OSX Fuse to my knowledge. The latest Mac OS features like Dark Mode are not yet implemented. Recently (within the last month) I noticed OSX Fuse in my System Preferences pane.
